Understanding the Role of Each System at Elmwood School

At Elmwood, we believe technology should support—not complicate—your experience as a parent. To that end, we have adopted two integrated platforms designed to streamline communication and deepen your insight into your child’s learning journey.

This guide outlines the difference between Veracross and Toddle, what each system is for, and how you can use them confidently.

Veracross

Your Hub for Student Records, School Operations, and Communication
Replaces MyBackpack

What is Veracross?
Veracross is our Student Information System (SIS)—the school’s central database for all official student and family records. It is where important logistical and operational information is managed, and where parents go to take care of administrative tasks and receive key updates.

Use Veracross to:

  • View report cards and academic transcripts
     
  • Access class schedules and timetables
     
  • Manage enrolment and re-enrolment
     
  • Pay tuition and other school-related bills
     
  • Complete school forms, including:
     
    • Permission forms
       
    • Medical information and emergency contacts
       
  • Update your contact information and household details

Toddle

Your Window Into the Classroom
Replaces Schoology

What is Toddle?
Toddle is our Learning Management System (LMS), built to support and showcase our IB curriculum across the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). It is where classroom learning, student reflection, and academic feedback come together.

Use Toddle to:

  • See assignments, homework, and due dates
     
  • Review student work, reflections, and class projects
     
  • Understand what your child is learning and exploring
     
  • Read teacher comments and formative feedback
