Last Saturday evening was one for the books! The Elmwood community gathered in celebration and support at the annual Gala – The Gilded Stage. The event brought together families, alumnae, staff, and friends for a sparkling night of purpose, passion, and generosity—all in support of our bursary program and the revitalization of the Music Program, allowing Elmwood students to take centre-stage.
From the exceptional décor to the enchanting atmosphere, each and every detail of the evening reflected the energy and ambition of our school community. Guests enjoyed a vibrant night filled with joy, laughter, spirited bidding, and a culinary experience to remember. We extend our sincerest thanks to Chef Candice and her incredible Bistro team, who wowed us all with an unforgettable three-course meal that was as beautiful as it was delicious.
We are proud to share that, thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our community, more than $275,000 was raised in support of what matters most: our students. These funds will have a direct and lasting impact, helping provide access to an exceptional Elmwood education and ensuring our students have the facilities they need to be inspired and grow into powerful leaders.
This incredible evening would not have been possible without the vision of our Gala Committee Chair, Simran Kochar, whose vision and leadership brought the event to life and the extraordinary efforts of Taryn Manias, who guided the event with dedication and care. A heartfelt thank you also goes out to our fantastic Gala Committee: Rocio Darevic, Shella Mithani, Amira Drake, Sophie Bifield, Erica Fox, and Jackie Ribaric, for their exceptional planning and creativity. And we are also deeply grateful to our generous sponsors and to everyone who raised a paddle in support of Elmwood. Your kindness and commitment mean the world to us.
A special shoutout to guest auctioneer Hoss Bertrand, whose charisma, energy, and quick wit brought the live auction to life and kept the crowd engaged from start to finish.
