IB RESULTS - CLASS OF 2026

Elmwood Students Achieve Outstanding Results in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is widely recognized as one of the most rigorous and respected academic pathways in the world. We are proud to celebrate the accomplishments of our Elmwood students as International Baccalaureate results were released. Assessed by external examiners from around the world, these results reflect not only the strength of Elmwood's IB programme but also the dedication, perseverance, and intellectual curiosity of our students.

The IB journey is both challenging and rewarding, requiring students to think critically, manage demanding workloads, and develop a global perspective. This year, Elmwood's graduating class included 12 full diploma candidates and 19 IB course certificate candidates, each of whom demonstrated remarkable commitment to academic excellence throughout their studies.

Outstanding individual achievements included Saba Koca and Alexandra Denison, who each earned 35 points, and Raluca Voina, who achieved an exceptional 39 points, the highest score in this year's graduating class.

Across all IB examinations written by Elmwood students, the average subject grade was 5.04 out of 7, once again far surpassing global averages. This average is equivalent to approximately 92% under Ontario's grading scale. Several students also earned the highest possible score of 7 in several individual subjects, representing exceptional mastery of their coursework. Our results once again place Elmwood in the top 3% of schools in North America.

These impressive academic results reflect far more than strong examination performance. They speak to the resilience, determination, and growth demonstrated by our students throughout their IB experience. From extended essays and internal assessments to collaborative learning and community engagement, they embraced every opportunity to challenge themselves and deepen their understanding of the world around them.

What makes this group truly exceptional, however, extends beyond their academic achievements. Throughout their time at Elmwood, they supported one another with kindness, approached challenges with integrity, and contributed meaningfully to our school community. They exemplify the values at the heart of both an IB education and an Elmwood education: curiosity, compassion, courage, and reflective leadership.

As these graduates begin the next chapter of their journeys, we celebrate not only their outstanding academic accomplishments, but also the thoughtful, capable, and compassionate individuals they have become. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in their communities and beyond.
