Elmwood School’s rowing crew turned heads last Thursday night as they launched their first-ever Ergathon, a 24-hour nonstop rowing challenge held on indoor rowing machines (ergs). What began as a team fundraising initiative quickly grew into a full community event, with students rowing through the night while the school community joined in with challenges and support.
The event raised over $13,000, with funds dedicated to supporting new rowing equipment for the program. A generous anonymous donor family also contributed a matching gift, significantly amplifying the impact of the campaign.
The effort showcased the determination and leadership of Elmwood’s athletes, supported by coaches and staff who remained on site throughout the night to keep the event running. Congratulations everyone!
