Pride in January?
Yes! Our Equity Council is pleased to announce that Elmwood School will celebrate Pride Week from January 27 - 29. Typically, Pride is celebrated in June in Canada, but at Elmwood, June is busy with exams, end-of-school activities, and closing. This year, our Council had the great idea to bring some colour and celebration to the winter season!
Grades 6-12 students will participate in homeroom activities, including a rainbow-themed civvies day on Tuesday and a collaborative art project on Wednesday to make a mosaic celebrating inclusivity.
