GRADE 4 SHOEBOX PROJECT

This past Monday, the Grade 4 classes participated in an initiative called the Shoebox Project. The Shoebox Project is an annual movement across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom to provide gifts to women in need. While there are often drives and funds to make the holiday season special for underprivileged children, the founders of the Shoebox project realized that there aren't many initiatives to support the women of our community. As such, they created the charity to encourage others to give the women in their community something special and thoughtful for the holidays. The gifts range from basic sanitary products to face masks to chocolate, all in an effort made by our grade 4s to make a few peoples' holidays a bit more magical. We are so proud of the work that our students did to support this initiative and hope that you are inspired by their efforts to volunteer and donate in your own community.
