The Grade 4 classes participated in a 3 on 3 Basketball Jamboree on Thursday, January 18th with the Kanata Montessori School The students has an opportunity to develop the basic skills of dribbling, passing, catching and shooting in a non-competitive atmosphere where the focus was on having fun and developing skills. The grade 4 classes really enjoyed the experience, especially making new friends.
Junior School Students from Grades PreK to Grade 5 participated in their second Sports for All Day. These special days focus on building fundamental movement skills as well as agility, balance and coordination, while being exposed to a sport. This time around the sport was Ringette. Students at all levels had the opportunity to engage in developmental appropriate stations that introduce and reinforce stickhandling, passing, receiving and shooting skills.
It was a great day full of fun, fitness and skill building.
