Junior School: A parent must call the School at 613-749-2558 or email Sarah Hay at shay@elmwood.ca if a student will be late or absent.
Middle/Senior School: A parent must call the School at 613-749-6761 or email attendance@elmwood.ca if a student will be late or absent.
Before and After School Care (Junior School)
The cost of the After-School Program is $3,000 per student for the full five-day program (pro-rated as nescessary). The cost of this program is fully tax deductible, and a tax receipt will be issued automatically based on the calendar year.

Bistro
Elmwood Bistro staff prepares healthy and delicious meals and snacks from scratch ever day. Students can subscribe to a meal plan or make purchases à la carte using their swipe card. Click here for more information about the meal plan. Registration for September 2021 coming soon!
Bus Program - West Ottawa
Elmwood is pleased to offer transportation to families in the west end for the 2021-22 school year!
Working with our transportation partner, Roxborough Bus Lines, we will be operating from four pick-up locations in the west end of the city offering one-way and two-way service for Elmwood students.

Middle/Senior Technology Programme
Middle/Senior Technology Programme
Students in the Middle and Senior School are required to have a Macbook and have the option to either purchase one through Elmwood or bring their own Macbook that meets the required specifications.

Summer Reading Lists
The summer is the perfect time to arm your child with a stack of books that will transport them to a new and exciting place. Check out these grade-level book recommendations for students heading into grade 6, all the way up to grade 12. There is a mix of fiction, non-fiction, and French language suggestions in each reading list.
Schoology
Schoology at Elmwood
Attention New Families: Your login details will be sent to you via email end of August.
Joining Schoology is easy, simply visit the Schoology Parent Sign up page to create your parent account. Schoology will now prompt you to enter your daughters code. If you are unsure of your daughter's code, please contact us.
Once you have entered the code, you will be prompted to fill in your own details, including your email address, to complete your registration. You only need this code once, so you do not need to write it down, however both parents can create their own account using this same code.
Once you are registered, you can return to http://www.schoology.com whenever you would like to log back in. Click the Login button at the top right then type your email address and password to login.
If you already have a Schoology Account and you’re adding your second daughter. Login to Schoology, click the arrow at the top right, and choose ‘add child’. Put the access code above into the box that pops up.
Once you have signed in to Schoology, you will be able to join groups and set your preferences. The following series of videos demonstrate the most common tasks.

Smart Phone App
Schoology has free App for both iPhone, iPad and Android devices. So download it and you can see what's up at Elmwood from wherever you are. Trying to access Schoology through the web browser on your phone or tablet can cause problems so always use the App. Choose the "Email Login" option when signing in to Schoology on the App.

Elmwood School Uniform Shop Online
Elmwood's uniform shop (The Eagles' Nest) is located on the first floor of the Middle/Senior School. The Eagles’ Nest, run by volunteers from the Parents’ Association, sells new and used uniform items, as well as a number of promotional and spirit items. SeniorSystems: My Backpack
Senior Systems: My Backpack is the school's student information system.
Signing in is easy! Just follow the steps below:

Through this portal, you are able to:
- check your daughter's timetable
- review your daughter's attendance record
- download you daughter's report card (if you would prefer a printed copy of your daughter's report card please Submit A Request)

Launch alumnae portal:

Elmwood Connect was developed and launched in April 2021 and currently has almost 200 members - each providing profile information and indicating a willingness to meet , mentor and partner with other alumnae.

The platform has also served as a jumping off point for virtual “decade socials” which have proved to be popular.

Establish alumnae affinity groups:

Elmwood’s “Sisterhood of Science” will be launched in May as an effort to build affinity beyond graduation year.

As a pilot for other affinity groups within the alumnae community, Elmwood’s Sisterhood of Science initiative will provide an umbrella for activities and events related to women in science and encourage alumnae to engage with each other and Elmwood students around a passion for science.

The first events will be a movie screening (“Picture a Scientist” and community fundraising event (“In Our Element”).

- Through the exploration and testing of online platforms designed to increase the profile of Elmwood graduates to universities around the world, there has been a 3-fold increase in the amount of scholarships offered and a significant increase in the number of offers.

ACCOUNT STATEMENTS
Date issued: First week of each month
Includes: All charges incurred over the course of the month
Sent via: E-mail only
DUE DATES
Tuition is due on the 15th of March, June, August 2021 and January 22 for the four-payment plan and the 15th of each month from March to January for the eleven-payment plan.
For incidentals (uniforms, trips, cafeteria, etc.) incurred over the course of a month, payment is due on the 15th of the month in which the account Statement is emailed.
PAYMENT METHODS
1) Cheque made payable to “Elmwood School” can be mailed, or dropped off at reception
2) Pre-Authorized Debit See attached PAD form for instructions (Please include void cheque)
3) On-line banking Elmwood School is a “vendor” with all major banks. For account number, please use the Student ID number found on the Account Statement. *If you are a new student, please use the following temporary alpha numeric ID C1234567AA
4) Credit Card via Plastiq which is a third party credit card processor that accepts VISA, Mastercard and American Express. Parents opting to use their cards will be required to pay a convenience fee to Plastiq of 2.5%. Please visit Plastiq.com for more information and instructions.
