Elmwood Connect was developed and launched in April 2021 and currently has almost 200 members - each providing profile information and indicating a willingness to meet , mentor and partner with other alumnae.
The platform has also served as a jumping off point for virtual “decade socials” which have proved to be popular.
Establish alumnae affinity groups:
Elmwood’s “Sisterhood of Science” will be launched in May as an effort to build affinity beyond graduation year.
As a pilot for other affinity groups within the alumnae community, Elmwood’s Sisterhood of Science initiative will provide an umbrella for activities and events related to women in science and encourage alumnae to engage with each other and Elmwood students around a passion for science.
The first events will be a movie screening (“Picture a Scientist” and community fundraising event (“In Our Element”).
Expand access to universities globally:
Through the exploration and testing of online platforms designed to increase the profile of Elmwood graduates to universities around the world, there has been a 3-fold increase in the amount of scholarships offered and a significant increase in the number of offers.
