Our daily screening practices and our community’s cooperation and commitment are our first lines of defence in guarding against transmission of the COVID-19 virus in our school.  In the event of a positive case, the following provides an outline of communications procedures that families can expect.

Word of mouth and referrals from friends and family are consistently cited as the most important way prospective families connect with the school.  If you know a family that would be a good fit with our community, please encourage them to join one of our Virtual Open House events, October 19-21.

On Tuesday, September 28, we will host our school-wide virtual Curriculum Showcase for the 2021-22 academic year.  Parents will receive an email that will link them to the curriculum overview for their child’s grade.  In a short video presentation, homeroom and subject teachers will outline their goals, teaching philosophy, and academic expectations.

As part of our observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, all students from PK to Grade 12 are invited to wear an orange t-shirt to school with their uniforms. A special limited-edition orange t-shirt is available for purchase.

The first session of co-curricular programming for students in Grades 1 - 5 will run for eight weeks, beginning the week of October 4 and running until the week of November 26. A list of all activities will be posted for preview on Friday,  September 24, with sign-up to follow on Monday, September 27.

Our first flight of spirit wear sales with Varsity Canada will close tomorrow, September 24, at the end of the day.

We are pleased to announce that an additional bus route has been added.  The new route will serve families in Manotick, with the main stop at the Park n’ Ride at Bankfield Rd. and William McEwan Drive.

This week, Middle and Senior School athletics kicked off with rowing, noodle rugby and Chef Candice’s Morning Boot Camp! The full list of Middle/Senior Co-curricular activities will be posted for students this Friday. The full list of Junior School Co-curricular options will be available for sign-up in next week's newsletter.

Our online spirit wear store with Varsity Canada is now open!  Elmwood branded grey and green hoodies and black sweatpants are available for purchase, along with hats and scarfs.
