While the first day of school for returning students is September 7, new students will have the opportunity to come to campus on September 6 for their orientation. Additional orientation events will be held for parents during the first week of school.
New Student On-Campus Orientation– Tuesday, September 6
These on-campus orientation sessions are an opportunity for students to meet their teachers and other new students and see their classrooms in advance of the first day of school. All students should come to school in their summer uniform. More information will follow, but please mark your calendars:
- Junior School- JK to Grade 5: 9-11 a.m.
- Middle Senior School- Grades 6-12: 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Pre-kindergarten families will be contacted individually for orientation and intake appointments.

Successful Start Orientation Events- Thursday, September 8 and Friday, September 9
Our “Successful Start” events, hosted by key Elmwood staff and the Parent Association, provide you with helpful information, a chance to meet other parents and an opportunity to ask any questions your family may have. Each session will be approximately 1 hour and will be held on-campus outside. New and returning parents are welcome.
- Junior School: Thursday, September 8, 8:30-9:30 and Friday, September 9, 2:30-3:30
- Middle Senior School: Thursday, September 8, 2:30-3:30 and Friday, September 9, 8:30-9:30
