March Break Camp 2019

Guided by experts from Canada’s Mad Science organization, campers will engage in challenging,
age-appropriate activities and experiments that will take them on a week-long journey through our solar system.

In a series of dynamic workshops, participants will:
• Learn about the composition of planets and moons
• Compete in teams to build a model space station that would support human life
• Observe stardust being formed and learn about the life cycle of stars
•  Build rockets to test the four forces of flight
• Visit a planetarium to observe constellations

The highlight of the week will be the opportunity for campers to interview a Canadian astronaut
to learn about how astronauts are trained and the experiments that they conduct in space.

Elmwood’s popular March Break Discovery Camp combines challenging activities with our usual winning blend of arts, crafts, games and sports.
The dynamic program will be served up by our talented, caring counsellors, together with daily mugs of hot chocolate and marshmallows!
