Far From Home

This spring, Elmwood School proudly presents Far From Home, a powerful two-act play written by Elmwood Old Girl Janet Uren in honour of the school’s 110th anniversary. Based on her book of the same name, the production tells the true story of British children evacuated to Canada during the Second World War and the role Elmwood played in providing them with safety, care, and a sense of home.
Join us on May 29 and 30 at uOttawa’s Academic Hall for this moving production featuring a cast of Elmwood alumnae, faculty, and students. Tender, funny, and deeply heartfelt, Far From Home is a story of courage, belonging, and the enduring strength of the Elmwood community.
