Junior School
As they progress through Junior School, girls develop skills, passion and a curiosity about the world—resulting in a love of learning. They continue to gain confidence and build the resilience and strength of character that they need to take smart risks, use their voice and develop to their full potential.
The IB Primary Years Programme curriculum framework is guided by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance, and recognizes the importance of not only what they learn, but how they learn. Using this inquiry-based model, our faculty teaches girls to teach themselves, using creativity, critical thinking and their own natural curiosity to discover and understand the world around them.

Our Promise
Elmwood’s Junior School provides a unique environment where your daughter will experience the best possible start to her school years. Our School is a happy, energetic place where students feel secure and comfortable in taking risks to develop their potential. We provide a broad range of opportunities for girls to discover and extend their interests and passions. When you start something at a young age, there’s no telling where it can lead you.
We chose Elmwood over many other private schools because of the students presenting at the Open House. Those girls wowed us with their level of confidence, sharpness, and public speaking skills. Parents asked random questions, for which they could not have prepared, yet they answered each question knowledgeably and without hesitation. We pictured our daughter on that stage.
