Grade 6 students enjoyed a week of extraordinary hands-on learning experiences, including poetry readings, electric circuit building, mini golf, an upcycled fashion show, visits to the Aviation Museum and Rockcliffe Public Library, bannock-making, and a full-day music workshop. The week concludes with a trip to the National Gallery and Spirit Afternoon, providing a memorable celebration of the skills and knowledge they have developed throughout the year.

Elmwood celebrated 40 students who achieved their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award this year, including seven students who earned the prestigious Gold Award through extensive community service, skills development, physical recreation, and outdoor expeditions. The ceremony recognized the dedication of both students and staff while highlighting the program’s lasting impact in building resilience, leadership, confidence, and a willingness to embrace new challenges.

Far From Home captivated audiences with three sold-out performances, bringing to life the true story of 23 children evacuated from London during WW2 who found a home at Elmwood. Featuring outstanding performances from current students, the production was praised for its moving storytelling, memorable music, and heartfelt portrayal of courage, community, and belonging.
