Elmwood alumna Janet Uren ’68 launched her new book, The Villagers: A History of the People and Life of New Edinburgh, a richly illustrated collection of stories she spent 13 years gathering about the community’s families, architecture, and heritage. A lifelong writer with a passion for local history, Janet—who also authored Elmwood’s own history—will have her play Far From Home staged at the school in May 2026.

Elmwood's Junior School put on a beautiful set of holiday concerts last Thursday. Beginning with pre-Kindergarten to Grade 2, followed by Grade 3 to 5. There was an array of seasonal hits, with instruments, costumes, and a whole bunch of holiday spirit! Thank you to everyone who made the event possible, all the students who performed, and all who attended.

This past Saturday, Elmwood hosted its annual Holly Tea and Holiday Marketplace, featuring local artisans and student entrepreneurs, and festive fun in the form of crafts, baking, a visit from Santa, tea service, and a Junior School musical performance. Thank you to everyone who contributed to and attended this wonderful event!
