This year brings new Senior School attendance expectations, with attendance and participation contributing to final marks while excused absences will not affect student standing. Academic offerings have also expanded with new French-language courses, semestered math options, enhanced MYP and IB supports, and an expanded Peak Performer Program.

The Junior School is welcoming the new year with expanded French-language learning through Physical Education, renovated Music and Visual Arts spaces, specialized Visual Arts classes, and the launch of the Walk to Read Programme for Grades 1–3. Thoughtful changes to dismissal times, the PreKindergarten yard pathway, and the new Little Sisters program will further support student learning, creativity, connection, and a smoother, safer experience for families.

Alumna Avery Parkinson ’22 surprised Mr. Ryan Hodgins with the 2026 Loran Teachers Building Leaders Award, recognizing the lasting impact his encouragement, trust, and belief in her had on her leadership journey. More than a decade after meeting in his Grade 4 classroom, their story reflects the powerful, reciprocal relationships at the heart of teaching — and the lasting influence educators and students can have on one another.
