Parents’ and Friends’ Association Committee
The Parents’ and Friends’ Association Committee, better known as PFAC, is made up of a hard-working and dedicated group of volunteers. Their mission is to enhance the quality of School life for all School stakeholders and to provide an avenue for parents and friends to actively participate in School life. The committee is always looking for new members and welcome your participation.
Some of the events and projects PFAC is involved in are:
- Elmwood Auction
- Mother Daughter Weekend
- Elmwood Mix-n-Mingle
- Father Daughter Dinner-Dance
- Grade 8 Graduation Celebration
- The Pound (Lost and Found)
- Run for the Cure
- Staff Appreciation Lunch
- Uniform Shop
They also aim to:
- Provide interactive and educational opportunities to parents in the form of guest speakers, panel discussions and workshops on topics of interest to parents (speaker series)
- Provide assistance when requested by the Administration to assist them in achieving their objectives
- Manage volunteers for School activities, and to organize and run social and other activities at the School
- Contribute funds generated through their events towards School needs
- Present annual awards to students in the three School divisions, as well as a teaching award in the name of former Headmistress, Carol Kirby.
