• Fibonacci Math Contest Club (Grade 4 & 5) 12:25-12:55 p.m. in the Science Lab with Ms. Holmes and Mrs. Angell.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 10

• Grade 5/6 Basketball practice: 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the big school Gym with Ms. Vrancart.
• No Chime Choir practice after school today. Note: Chime Choir will begin on February 24.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 11

• Dance (Grades 2-3) 12:25-12:55 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room with Ms. MacDougall.
• French Club (Grades 3-5) 12:25-12:55 p.m. in the French Room with Mme Caron-Luke and Mme Gavan.
• No Swim Training practice after school today. The next practice will be on February 18.
• Shakespeare Club (Grade 5) 3:30-4:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room with Ms. Parker and Emma D.

February 10

• Grade 1 field trip to the Canada Science and Technology Museum in the morning.
• Open House: 7 – 9 pm. Elmwood School invites interested families to come meet our staff, students and parents, tour the School and hear about our unique approach to educating girls and young women from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. If you know anyone considering Elmwood for next year, please have them RSVP (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), or call (613) 744-7783.

February 11

• Civies Day: students may come to school dressed in red, pink and/or white clothes in celebration of Valentine’s Day.  Please bring $3.00 to school on this day. Monies raised will go to CAMFED (Campaign for Female Education – the charity our Junior School is supporting to provide four years of high school to ten students in Africa.)
• Report cards go home
• Alfie Kohn lecture on Progressive Education: 7:00pm – 9:30pm, Woodroffe High School Auditorium. Download poster (pdf) and media advisory (pdf) for further information.

February 12

• HOLIDAY (no school)
• Note: There is no school on Monday, February 15. School re-opens on Tuesday, February 16.
