Primary Years Programme Exhibition 6:45pm
Thursday May 06
The grade 5 class will present "Water Resources: The Primary Years Programme Exhibition" to the community from 6:45 - 8 p.m.
The Primary Years Programme (PYP) exhibition is the culmination of the essential elements of the PYP. It is an opportunity for students to draw on all they have learned, and exhibit the attributes of the International Baccalaureate (IB) learner profile that have been developing throughout their engagement with the PYP.
Some of the topics you will see presented include:
- How water quality affects humans.
- Accessibility to clean water in African communities.
- How to create clean water?
- How oil spills affect animals and underwater life.
- The Creation of the St. Lawrence Seaway.
- Human rights and the accessibility to clean water.
- Coral Reef Systems and the threats against them.
Students have engaged in a collaborative, transdisciplinary inquiry process that involves them in identifying, investigating and offering solutions to real-life issues or problems. Presentations will include written work, oral presentations, the use of technology, and performances in one or more of the arts.
Join us to see the accomplishments of our girls, and the difference the IB program makes in their learning and development. Please RSVP to Dana Lynn Borschewski at dborschewski@elmwood.ca or via phone at 613-749-6761 x 231.
