Silver lining for Elmwood student at Ontario Music Festival finals
Saturday June 06Peterborough, June 6, 2009 – Silver was the order of the day for Elmwood student Tannya C., who placed second in the Grade 9 Piano category at the Ontario Music Festivals Association finals held in Peterborough.
Tannya was chosen to represent the National Capital region at the provincial finals after winning three gold, one silver and one bronze in various piano competitions at her local Ottawa Kiwanis Music Festival in April.
The Ontario Music Festivals Association is an organization of volunteers serving music festivals across the province, and through them, over 170,000 young classical musicians.
