IB Economics students guests of Canadian Club of Ottawa

On Wednesday, October 14, Elmwood's IB Economics students and their teacher, Claire Glazier, were guests of the Canadian Club of Ottawa for their annual guest speaker and luncheon at the Chateau Laurier. This year, Jean-René Halde, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Business Development Bank of Canada, was the distinguished guest of honour. He spoke on the topic of "The Canadian Advantage: Resilient Entrepreneurs," providing his audience with valuable insights into the importance of entrepreneurship in Canada and the global economy. Elmwood's students were fortunate also to have the opportunity to meet Mr. Halde and to be able to ask questions about his presentation and experience as CEO of the Business Development Bank of Canada and as a board member of the Conference Board of Canada.
