Elmwood Student Wins Ottawa Art Competition

In September, Ms. Heawon Chun, Elmwood's Art Teacher, shared information about an upcoming competition open to Ottawa high schools with her classes. The Student Art Challenge was run as part of the Ottawa Art Expo and students were challenged to take inspiration from an assigned picture and make a painting based on this picture. Melanie Greenley, a Grade 11 student, won the People's Choice Award. Melanie and the Art Department were awarded a cheque to congratulate her on the success of her painting. Congratulations to Mel!
