Eagles Soar Over Competition!
Tuesday November 22Congratulations to the Elmwood Eagles Senior Girls Basketball Team, 2011 ‘A’ Division Champions. Elmwood beat Ashbury 44 – 28 in the Championship finals, then went on to outscore St. Thomas Aquinas 51 to 13 to advance to OFSAA!
We’re very proud of them for their strong but fair play, energetic perseverance and team spirit! The team will now go on to compete at the OFSAA Provincial Championships in St. Catharines, Wednesday, November 23 to Saturday, November 26.
Congratulations also go to the team's excellent coaches, Karina Navarro and Erin Derbyshire. Thank you for your leadership and dedication!
