Student Life
Life outside of the classroom at Elmwood is full of fun, friendships and festivities. Clubs, teams, student government and the House system offer numerous opportunities to explore interests and connect with those who share them.
Student government at Elmwood is the perfect training ground for future leaders. Our prefects, led by the Head Girl, generate school spirit by organizing events, and act as a student voice with the administration.
The entire Elmwood community, from JK to staff, is divided into four Houses, each named after a prominent and inspirational woman in history: Elizabeth Fry, Helen Keller, Florence Nightingale and Cairine Wilson. Students and staff compete in a spirit of friendly rivalry for points for their House teams. Houses also choose a programme of social service each year and fund-raise in support of their chosen charities.
