Head of Math Department

Elmwood School is the pre-eminent all-girls’ school in Canada’s capital. An independent day school for outstanding girls from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12, we inspire each girl to reach her full potential.

Elmwood School is seeking a Head of our Math Department. Suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic candidates are invited to apply for this senior position. This is an exciting opportunity for a gifted teacher who can teach to Diploma Programme level and has experience in an International Baccalaureate School as well as the ability to manage a team of three Math teachers. Expertise teaching in an all-girls environment and an ability to teach Higher Level Math will be particularly useful. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the School’s rich co-curricular program.

To be considered, candidates must possess:

• Undergraduate Degree
• Ontario College of Teachers Certification
• Specialized experience teaching Math (grades 7 - 12)
• MYP/DP experience an asset
• Ability to instruct in a laptop environment
• A commitment to the extracurricular life of the School and must be energetic team players excited by the opportunity of helping shape the growth of our PYP/MYP/DP school.
